The theme—mexican salvadoran fusion— is a great idea, the execution however is completely horrible. Our party ordered the “chelada twist” and it tasted like it had meat seasonings included (ex. onion, adobo, garlic, sofrito). The lemonade tasted incredibly artificial and we were only able to consume it as a form of washing down the taste of the very unfortunate food. Presentation of the dishes was okay but they were lackluster in flavor and many of the dishes we ordered included a strange form of meat— most specifically noticed in the “los carnales” nachos. Using iconic dishes and famous recipe names to later serve meals that should not even hold those names. The tacos are definitely NOT comparable to real mexican tacos, as for basically everything else that is a differentiated version of a mexican dish. We were also told at 8:30 that the restaurant closed at 9:30 so we’d need to be seated basically immediately, and our food order wasn’t taken until 9:16. Service was extremely poor and i would not even consider coming back here again, which is unfortunate especially bc the concept is...
Read moreGreat service! Quick and friendly waitresses. No a/c but place is nice and trendy. Chill music. Overall nice place. Food was not good. It’s edible. The “nachos” had stale chips (they say they’re homemade totopos -chips-) and they had too much mayo. The meat was fine since its marinated in chipotle BUT the mayo, additional chipotle sauce and sour cream drenched the meat and nachos. I wiped off most of the mayo/chipotle/sour cream and it still was too much. Tried eating the meat by wiping it but left the full plate after eating three stale totopos. The pambazos were okay but had a “weird” aftertaste. It was super soft bread. The meat was again overly seasoned/marinated in chipotle with more chipotle sauce on top. The pupusa was okay. Took long to come to the table but we left practically all of it. Definitely not...
Read moreCame here with three others and we had a blast! This place is honestly a MUST when it comes to dining in El Salvador. If Pipirisnais isn’t on your bucket list, you should add it. This restaurant has very nice waiters and had fast service. The food was BOMB, I recommend the Mexican Quesadillas with Res and the Tostadas. I also definitely recommend their Cheesecakes or their Flan De Elote. This is definitely an amazing place that you should visit. Great atmosphere and delicious food! And to our waiter Johnathan, even though you’re new to the job, I had the impression you had worked here for years. Este restaurante, que...
