I am sorry I have to say it, I got told the bar would be nice Place to visit but I have to say my whole experience was disappointing. We arrived and got told that we have to wait 5 Minutes to get a Pool table, we sat down and they handed us the Menu. To spent the time we ordered a Beer, instantly after we bought the Beer an other Barkeeper gave us the information that we have to wait 45 minutes to play, sadly we saw that other people that arrived after us were allowed to play. After those 45 minutes they told us we have to wait another 30 minutes, we accepted it but again we saw that people could Play who arrived after us. Altough we waited because we wanted to have a got time, but after we waited they told us again that we have to wait for 30 minutes. Because of that we left, to be honest it just felt like a waist of time and that they even didnt wanted us to play and more that we just buy some drinks. I think it was really sad because we really looked forward to spend a good time, because we saw and got told that this is one of the things you should experience in San Salvador, because it is the oldest bar in San Salvador and has a lot of history. All in all I have to say the bar looked fun, nice and also was pretty interesting, but I just expexcted more and not having the feeling I just waisted Money and a...
Read moreWhen the bar tender hands you your change, make sure they hand you the dollar bills in one hand and the dollar coins in another. The two ladies behind the bar have a sneaky way of conviently dropping your dollar coins by placing them on top of the bills, and right before you grab your change, they shift the coins over so that they fall all over the floor. Trust me, you won't find your coins in that dark bar area. I'm assuming this is something they do regularly. It's such a shame, being that the place is actually nice. The two ladies behind the bar are not it. Hopefully they get proper training and learn how to not scam for tips. I would have tipped then anyways. Not a good image, nor a good first...
Read moreLa Dalia is a hidden gem—a bar, restaurant, billiard hall, and café that feels like stepping back in time. The atmosphere is genuinely nostalgic, evoking a bygone era with charm and authenticity.
It’s located up a flight of stairs from the street, and not the easiest place to find, but absolutely worth the effort. The space is large, with many tables and a friendly, welcoming local crowd. The service was excellent throughout my visit.
They serve one-liter beers and offer a solid cocktail menu as well. It’s the kind of place that feels rooted in the community, with real character and no pretension.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for something local, relaxed, and full of...
