PÖIDE GRILLHOUSE — Restaurant in Saaremaa vald

Damn, I wanted to like this place more and there is potential, but our visit was far from perfect. They clearly had staff shortage and just bringing our first drinks took like 20 minutes. The food arrived partly cold and it was mediocre at best for this price, I hope this is not common occurance.

They had good selection of taps (although at low season that we visited they did not have the taps online, this was common in the area) and a good selection of their own beer.

Just fix the problems I mentioned and next time I'll give better review! I really want to revisit this...

What a great place, the food and the beer just hits the spot. 👌 We were immediately greeted, our orders taken and everything happened fast and smooth. We had the chicken and pork skewers, cheese balls and raspberry pannacotta, all of which was delicious. The pannacotta was not overly sweet = perfect. The skewers had just enough salt and smokey flavour, sides were just right.

It's clear the staff is well trained, hospitable and the place has all its cornerstones in place. Definitely recommend if you want simple but oh so delicious food, good beer and prompt service...

We had a late lunch on a weekday. It wasn't super crowded, but there was a big group right before us. We were pleasantly surprised that despite that, service was very quick. We had the duck borsch, the beef burger and the pork shashlik, and really enjoyed them all. As an avid bbq & meat smoking enthusiast myself, I appreciated the nice grilled flavor of the meats.
