Legend — Restaurant in Viljandi linn

I would like to start by saying that only reason I'm giving 2 stars and not 1 is the service. Service and attitude of the servers saved that visit! BUT the food....we haven't had that kind of experience before. This was the first time we sent food back...and we did that TWICE! We had duck breast and legendary schnitzel and friend had a chicken fillet. Schnitzel was okay...nothing spectacular but okay. Chicken fillet was dry and some kind of very specific (not good) taste to it. The horror starts with the duck. First duck was overcooked inside and the skin was like rubber and fat was not rendered down at all (there were no cuts on the skin to let the fat out). Sent that one back. Then the cook probably got angry and just seared the new breast on each side. It was little bit better from the outside but inside...it was totally raw! End pieces were edible but not more. Sent that one also back....server handled the situation very politely and professionally. Third time the same piece of duck was just fried and but back on plate. It was edible and we could finish the dish but nothing more. Duck and beef are two things that show the quality of the place. If you don't know how to cook duck, then please remove it from the menu or teach/change...

The food is tasteless. From the beginning I’ve started thinking that it might be not the best place, but decided to give it a chance, because of Google mark. The service is bad. We came in and nobody even said hello. We needed to order at the bar. The waitress was eating by the next table. Have never seen such thing in cafes and restaurants before. The drinks are brought in wrong cups. The tea was in hot wine glass 😕 The style is pretty strange and tables with sofas are absolutely uncomfortable. The did NOT ask for COVID-certificates, which upsets me the most. The restaurant is heated by some heater with gas, which gives specific smell.Definitely would not recommend this place...

Dissapointing for what you pay for... I have tried places from Tallinn to Parnu similar type resturants but was never dissapointed. Howeverat this restauranr , the food quality is below par. The schnitzel was greasy, the salad was the best part of this dish. The pulled pork sandwich was oversaturated with some type sweet and sour sauce tasted like it came out of a bottle. The meat wasnt right. The rice dish had no flavor or taste and was very bland. Plus side + You do get free bread and water but thats everywhere. Overall its ok wouldnt be my first choice to eat when i visit Viljandi. Average prices are 9 Euros. Should be like 6-7 euros...
