Hi, I went to restaurant bangkok9 Mall of Tripla on 16.08.2025 around 2-3pm. We ordered: fish seabass 40€, somtam 2 fried rice 3 thai sweet milk tea
The waitress didnt say anything about our order. We waited and we got our drink.
After a while she came back and told us, the size of sea bass fish is more big. She said we should pay 5€ more for the seabass whole fish. I said we dont want pay more because many times ate in the restaurant and ordered same menu, we never paid more.
The waitress talked to other waitress about the matter and the 2nd waitress came to us and brought the frozen seabass and explained this fish is big about 1,2 kg so we should pay more 6€. We told to her, we just want pay which is written in the menu and i said to her, why now the price is changing? The 1st waitress said 5€ and now 6€.
They brought to us just somtam, 2 fried rice and 3 thai sweet milk Tea. I asked, where is our fish? The 2nd waitress answered, the fish is finished, we dont have fish. I answered, before when we ordered, the 1st waitress didnt tell anything additional price and you just showed to us the frozen seabass fish. She answered again the fish finish and if you not pay more, we cant give you fish with arrogant voice to customers.
Really the restaurant waitress was so arrogant and no manner to customers.
The other waitress came and explained that everything prices increase. The rent of restaurant is 50.000 €. I answered to her i went to restaurant many years and the wholefish seabass price 22/28€ and increase 32€ and now increase 40€. Never ever i paid what wasn’t written in the menu.

The food and cocktails were as good as usual, like the one in City Center. However, the service was totally another story. After ordering the food and cocktails, we did ask a waiter if we should order the dessert then also and he/she told us that it would be better ordering the dessert later. That was totally fine with us. Little did we know, after seeing the restaurant not taking in new customers and while still eating, we asked the same waiter again for the dessert. Then, without warning, he/she then refused to take our dessert order saying that their kitchen was “closing” (not closed, I quote “closing”) even though they were still making the last food order.?! I understand that it was Sunday evening. Still, it is said that the restaurant closed at 8pm on Sunday, hence why we chose the restaurant to have the birthday dinner, not 7 or 7.30. Read moreBeen to the city centre branch and quite enjoyed their food so happy to give the tripla branch a try. It was the 10€ promotion and myself and partner both chose from the selection. The server seemed very uninterested in us once we chose from their promoted food instead of from the main menu, didn't bother to ask us for drinks (guess just water is fine for us cheapo's!) and was not welcoming. Anyway once food arrived my spicy beef was tough and lacked any flavour, partners massaman tofu curry was not on a par to the city branch but had some flavour. Partner didn't finish and requested if can take home. This was rudely refused as this was a promotion meal and the price of a doggie bag is not priced into the meal! I would of gladly paid for the packaging (hate to throw food away)but the serving staff just took off not wanting to engage in any meaningful way.
I am very disappointed in the service, perhaps the food on the menu would have been better than there promotion menu but really is that a way to run a business and ensure repeat custom. Always willing to give support to restaurants so no 0stars from me but couldn't being myself to give more than...
