A Taste of Thailand: First Bite at This Newly Opened Branch

Stepping into this restaurant on its grand opening day felt like walking into a cozy, tropical oasis. The warm greetings from the staff and the inviting atmosphere, filled with lush greenery and colorful blooms, immediately set the tone for a delightful dining experience.

I decided to go all in and ordered the “Opening Flavor Fest” set, featuring summer rolls, Pad Thai prawns, and mango sticky rice—a trio promising a full spectrum of Thai flavors.

Summer Rolls – A Fresh Start

The moment I took a bite of the summer roll, I was hit with an explosion of freshness. The crisp, vibrant vegetables wrapped in delicate rice paper had just the right crunch, complemented by the creamy, nutty peanut dipping sauce. The contrast of textures—soft, crisp, and slightly chewy—made each bite incredibly satisfying. It was light, refreshing, and the perfect appetizer to awaken the palate.

Pad Thai Prawns – A Taste of Bangkok

Next came the Pad Thai prawns, and let me tell you—it was a bite straight out of Thailand. The noodles were perfectly chewy, coated in a well-balanced tamarind sauce that was neither too sweet nor too sour. The prawns were plump and juicy, adding a delightful seafood umami to the dish. Unlike some overly oily versions, this one was light yet flavorful. The portion size was just right—not too much, not too little—leaving room to savor every bite.

Mango Sticky Rice – A Rare Gem in Helsinki

Now for the grand finale—the mango sticky rice. If there’s one dish that captures the essence of Thai desserts, it’s this one. The moment the plate arrived, the aroma of smoky, fragrant coconut milk hit me. The sticky rice was soft, perfectly cooked, and infused with a delicate sweetness, while the mango was ripe, juicy, and bursting with tropical brightness. The combination of creamy coconut, warm rice, and the tangy-sweet mango was pure magic. This dish is hard to find in Helsinki, and I’d honestly come back just for this.

Final Thoughts

This meal was more than just food—it was an experience. Every dish transported me back to the streets of Thailand, where flavors are bold, fresh, and deeply satisfying. If you’re looking for an authentic taste of Thailand in Helsinki, this place is an absolute must-visit.

Would I recommend it? A hundred...

I recommend this place for lunch and dinner. I’ve made multiple visits. Eaten at the location and had takeaway.

Been for lunch a few times and I really appreciate the flavours in the dishes. Well balanced and very enjoyable. Nice selection of options as well and the rotating menu is great.

I don’t know the relationship between Thai flavours and teriyaki chicken. But the teriyaki chicken dish is a great showing of the respect and care that food is given in this restaurant. The teriyaki chicken isn’t just glazed in the sauce—it’s actually grilled and has some smokey flavour and crispy bits. That isn’t a given in Finland. Although teriyaki isn’t Thai cuisine strictly speaking as far as I know, it was still the best teriyaki chicken I’ve tasted. They really know how to prepare food.

Service is exceptional in this place and I can’t underline this enough. Very kind and considerate. A visit will uplift your mood.

I highly recommend a dinner visit—the service really shines through then. If you’ve been for lunch, you’ll be surprised of how much more they can turn it up during dinner!

Great to have such a great place in Jätkäsaari! I hope this place stays for...

Me and Emmy wife trusted the 4.6 rating on google and decided to eat here.. I must say I was very delighted with the whole experience.. the table is very classily set up.. the servers were prompt in helping out and asking relevant questions about the dishes we ordered.. and finally the food - this takes the cake.. the mushroom tacos were brilliant (and I love mushrooms so I’m biased ;) .. Thai curry portion was perfect for two of us and yummy too.. best of all was the chicken Tom yum soup.. authentic and spicy .. it would burst into umpteen flavours once in your mouth.. loved it overall and would love to visit the restaurant again when around...

The restaurant was quiet and not crowded. There was only 4 people there before us. The lunch price depends on the dish you choose 😊 We took Pad See Eew chicken and Rainbow Teriyaki Samon Bowl. They're very delicious! Extra bowl of rice was given without us asking for it (we really appreciated that). Lunch includes also basic salad with many sauces, spring rolls, prawn crackers, and soup. The whole place is clean and well-arranged. Staff was friendly and food was served in less than 10 mins 😊

I'm so happy they're back! I absolutely loved them a few years ago, and still love them now! ❤️ Food tastes authentic and not flavored down for the local palate and cooked with high quality in mind. We ordered the Pad Thai - always a classic, and fried duck with teriyaki sauce which was cooked to perfection. Their staff was incredibly sweet, friendly and courteous. I forgot to ask his name but he made our dining experience so much more enjoyable! 100% recommend, so happy they're back!
