My friend bought a croissant and pain au chocolat from here and they were absolutely to die for. However, when I visited today (Saturday, Oct 18) at 14:11, the staff shut the door and gestured that they were closed — even though both the sign on the door and the online listing state they’re open until 15:00 on Saturdays.
Perhaps they had sold out for the day, which is understandable, but it would’ve been courteous to step outside and explain or apologize to waiting customers. They could have still been serving coffee, especially since there were other customers sitting inside at the time.
I rarely say this, but I was genuinely shocked to experience service this dismissive...

Read moreOne of the best pastries I have ever had. I arrived around 1:30 PM and while the selection was limited, that just shows how popular this place is. I managed to get a lemon curd filled croissant and it was absolutely out of this world. As a fellow baker and someone who travels the world searching for the best pastries, I can confidently say this is the best bakery in Helsinki. I sat outside on the lovely little street it’s located on, enjoying my pastry while people continued lining up for coffee and baked goods. I will be coming back every day for the rest of my trip. No need to try anywhere else....
