Food was great. I paid for the buffet and was satisfied. Was nice to see vegan options easily without having to ask someone. There was also multiple choices for vegan sides. Bread was very soft and tasty. Also saw some vegan pastries, in this case donuts, but didn't try them this time. There's also coffee, even special coffees, but you have to pay for them.
I was not greeted back properly and the service was lacking. I ordered in Finnish and got a reply in English, so service in Finnish might not be available but great for people who speak English. I was not adviced where to get a plate nor water with my meal. For a first-time diner it was a shame. The place is mostly self-service but these regular things should be stated to a customer.
Atmosphere was lovely, warm and cozy. Dogs were welcome, take in consideration if you have allergies, and kids were freely playing around. There's small tables and big tables for bigger groups. Some tables next to the window also have sofas. Due to the staff not providing sufficient customer service I was a little let down and it brought down the atmosphere for me. Music was a little bit too loud but goes between...
Read moreLocated in the crimson brick building of historical significance, the restaurant offers authentic south-american food, though a bit adapted to Hki-style. Drawn by late Anthony Boyrdain's documentary bon adventures in culinary underbelly, we picked this restaurant for a rest and taste. The inner decoration of the place neat and trendy, it gives a feel of space. Food, somehow, exotic, but to my taste. Staffs are smily and services to the point. Behind its main gate is a huge open-air terrace, which covers the whole spanse of the front yard, where customers may enjoy sunshine and fresh air, and of course their meals as well. Nice venue for casual...
Read moreI came just looking for something sweet as I had eaten lunch pretty recently. The lovely lady at the counter told me that they had a vegan snickers bar, which came highly recommended. I took one of those and ordered a green tea, and they were brought over to my table shortly afterwards. The vegan snickers was hands down the best "vegan alternative" chocolate bar I have ever had, and I would argue it's even better than a regular snickers.
The place itself is pretty big and was filled with a real mixture of people. I wish I'd had chance to go back and try the buffet for lunch, but maybe...
