Sushi Forest — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

Found it kind of odd for a restaurant to make you pay before receiving any food ? - maybe it’s a thing in Europe but I’ve personally never seen it before. I have no intentions of running away. Food was mediocre I must say, tasty but too much rice to fish ratio, I eat a lot of sushi so I know when someone is tactically trying to fill you up. Restaurant was moderately busy but chef (just 1) was struggling to re-stack the plates fast enough to have variety, we kept eating the salmon and torched tuna roll over and over. I was eagerly waiting for their re-opening after renovation. Sadly, there was mostly disappointment ahead. The best area for food serving had been transferred into an empty design shop (!), and the interior layout is now a serving disaster with insufficient room for customers.

The sushi is now in direct sunlight (!) at the window, which used to be a nice seating place for customers. Also, with less space for food now, there are fewer menu options, especially vegetarian ones.

This place was almost perfect and definitely my favorite sushi lunch place, but not anymore.

(I wouldn't want to mention the weird "Swedish ferry background music," which was also a weird...

Went here for late lunch and the buffet was basically empty, just full of warm sushi which had clearly been sitting out. They did not bring any new sushi while we were there, and the elevator music was coming from a phone speaker. There was also nothing for dessert, just some slices of store-bought cake which tasted bland. Very poor selection and now I’m just praying I don’t get food poisoning.
