Olimpos — Restaurant in Oulu sub-region

Several visits. Mots times disappointed. 1st visit: Sorry to say but the lamb, chicken and pork were very dry. For over 40 euro menu this is not acceptable. Also the service was surprisingly slow, not enough servers. It took half an hour to get the first drink, an hour until starters, etc. Not attentive enough service. You know the point when start getting a bit irate, can feel the adrenaling because things are not going right. When you go for a dinner you hope to feel quite the opposite. Not planning to come back very soon as the main feeling was disappointment. Sorry. 2nd visit: Lunch time menu. The food was quite nice. Improvement from my last visit. Will improve rating. May come back. 3rd visit, did come back and got disappointed. Service messed up dishes, not a problem as issue rectified. This did, however, mess our drinks ordering and we did not get what we wanted. The food was not great. The tomato sauce in the mix skewers is like straight out of a tin, yuk. Had I known, would have asked to leave it out. Did not like the sauce at all. This was followed by slow service and we did not get a chance to order any deserts or anything. Some of us walked as did not want to wait any longer. It is not a good end result if you are left irritated...

My meal had a (too) large amount of french fries, most likely just heated at the restaurant but made at some factory. The salad (presumably Greek, hard to say, no olives for instance) had hard raw tomatoes. The chicken skewer was ok, with the sauce the high point. The pork skewer was very hard, to the point that it was difficult to cut and chew. Over all, the food was a serious dissappointment. Besides us, there were just two other customers in this huge restaurant on an August saturday night with ongoing events outside. At the end we had to pay our bill at the counter as the staff seemed to totally ignore us. I will...

Cozy and warm. The servers are friendly and can speak also in English. The food is extremely good. The average price is 15-18 plus drinks. It is not the cheapest restaurant in Oulu, but the rations are considerably big, and excellent quality: good looking and tasty. You can have lunch or dinner by the dim light of a candle with tasty Mediterranean food (Spanish, Italian, Greek, and Turkish) The food is not traditional, but they encompass the flavors...
