Kimchi Korean Kitchen — Restaurant in Porvoo sub-region

Decent Korean food- side dishes were the best part of the meal especially the deliciously flavored seaweed! The Kimchi and pickled radishes and roasted peanut sides were very good! Barley tea was good. Kimchi pancake was yummy, more like an omelette and not too spicy. Shame that the buckwheat noodles were not available, the alternative was a first time for us (vegetarians) was the vegetable potato noodle dish which had a nice enough taste. The veggie bibimbop was just ok. We probably should have asked for more gochujang sauce, so maybe it’s our bad. We ordered everything off the menu. 5 stars just for existing! It’s so very difficult to find in Finland outside of Helsinki and therefore worth our long walk from porvoo keskus in 30c heat. It’s been years since my last Korean meal so well worth the trip! My family and I found this place by chance while searching a place to have dinner in Porvoo. Since we are huge fans of Korean cuisine we were very interested. Restaurant seemed to be very popular for take out meals, but very few dine-in customers besides us. Waitress was very helpful, cheery and we also enjoyed a little chat with her after our meal. Full points for being customer friendly. Food was fit for a king. I would kiss the chef if I could. We truly enjoyed our chicken bibimbap, honey glaced chicken wings, and mandu. Even the children's set menu was delicious. The best surprise was the little side dishes which are made in-house. It was so far the closest food experience to actually being in Korea that we have had in Finland. Too bad Porvoo is far away for us - I would love to visit here...

Taste is subjective. What is good for one may not be to the liking of another. You can't please everyone. I'm not coming to her defense. Nor am I being critical of the critics. There is definitely room for improvement.

With this message, I do hope that the owner takes all reviews, especially the negative ones, constructively and work even harder to improve on it.

REBUTTAL TO THE OWNER'S COMMENTS: You obviously need a lesson in customer service! Instead of taking your customers' reviews CONSTRUCTIVELY, you go on a tirade and attack your customers. Stop embarrassing yourself and the Chinese community in Finland....
