Porvoo is an idyllic town nestled just an hour and a half away from Helsinki. We came here for lunch and a brief walk around the old town. The architecture of the shops is archaic Finnish country style with colorful facades painted in pastel colors giving them a very contemporary yet retrospective look. The shops found here mainly sell souvenirs, clothing and arts and craft. Not really a fancy shopping destination but more to buying local produce which is a nice alternative. There is a Sunday market as well with street food and stalls with a variety of food produce, handicrafts and clothing.
