Helmikahvila — Restaurant in Turku sub-region

My mom stayed there for some nights when she came to visit.

The reception closes at 7pm so they left us the key in the nearby gas station.

The room was tidy and clean. On Sunday they didn’t clean her room and we had hard time finding the password for the wifi as there was no one at the reception and we couldn’t call anyone ether.

I think they could be better in communication. No one asked her how she was feeling in the room, if everything was okay, suggested places to visit or where to eat. I worked as a receptionist for some years and yeah, they lack in that department.

We visited here twice for breakfast and enjoyed the food and the offering was perfect for us, it’s not quite a huge hotel breakfast but more than just a sandwich. In the first morning it did seem like the sweet offering was a bit stale, maybe from the previous day or a frozen pasty pack perhaps? Other than that we were happy. A great place to enjoy a morning breakfast buffet for a very reasonable price (10,50€). Variety is limited but everything is freshly made (even the bread) and can satisfy your morning cravings. Clean place with very friendly staff and a nice table arrangement with most of them located by the large glass wall.
