Ravintola Baan Thai — Restaurant in Turku sub-region

Scrummy Thai food. Very good Phad Thai with jumbo prawns. The phad gaprao with pork was very mild and not truly authentic Thai, but being so far from Thailand, we're fortunate to have any version of it. What I love best is that they have proper Thai condiments available for you to customise your dish: fresh chili with fish sauce, proper Thai dried chilli flakes, garlic and chilli in vinegar, etc etc.

We took some food for my wife and kid. Asked for very spicy for my wife and normal spicy for me, and it was in our taste. The only disappointment was that the Bier Chang was only 4.2%, when normally in Thailand they are 7% :)

Also, did not have any plastic forks/knives, only spoon. We managed with that, but still something missing.

We will eat there again when we come back to...

Poor service, they forgot my appetiser. I mentioned about that, then the waiter said “oh, really? Why didn’t you say that? Do you want me to serve the soup now?” I didn’t want the soup anymore because I had whole meals already. Then the waiter said “oops, my bad, he he” and charged full price.
