You paid only for the atmosphere ⚔️and animals🦌 (taxidermy). Although that would be great if they could add some Vikings clothing and costumes to their collection. 🛡️ 😕Foods were not so tasty nor special . I expected to have much more tastier steaks/food which unfortunately did not happened! We tried reindeer and beef steaks but none of them was special. They used sauces which has bitterness of different berries which doesn’t match with the meat natural taste. Also I’ve tried reindeer in Austria and that’s something very different and amazing. The potato cubes were not backed well☹️ The mushroom soup also was not that much tasty. We asked for a few slices of lemon just to give some taste to it and they said: we don’t have it😳 We didn’t receive warm welcome and reception advised us in a but angry way that the table you seated is reserved while there were no signs for that on the table! So how we should knew! The presentation of food were nice and beautiful, we liked it.The dishes itself were nice too. Unfortunately I found a white piece of something like chalk in my potato cake. I showed it to the servant. Then they offered for a new plate and I said No, it’s not needed and not a big problem. Then she told me: we will treat you the desserts. and sorry and … I ordered 2 desserts but upon payment, she told me with smile that one of the dessert is on us and you should pay for the second one! 😑😳😳 So I have already disregard the plate change which has 45 euro price but they were not brave/generous enough to cover just 2 desserts which costs each only 11 euro in return! 🙂‍↔️ That’s really a shame. Numbers 13 , 17 Dessert 23, in the menu. I don’t have the numbers for soup and the kid plate but something to add is that they really had very tasty and crispy French fries. 🍟So they are more professional in...

The atmosphere of this place takes you back to viking times. It is beautifully decorated and thematic.

Food was on next level too! I had the beer braised shank and it was so tender and flavourful I was contemplating having it again, but the portion size was too big I did not even get a dessert. My colleague prdered the lamb and according to her it was masterfully cooked and full of flavour too.

Drinks were cold, food was steaming and the friendly and positive personnel took our experience to an 11/10 dining.

The small little downside was that it was super hot during the week and it was sligthly warm in the restaurant too. That was not an issue as we were served complimentary water to keep as cool amd hydrated.

We also enjoyed the menu with explanations on cousine, ingredients and insights into how were these made back in the past.

Will definitely come again if I am...

Edit After another year i went back for lunch and had a really polite waiter. Was a pleasure this time, kiitos paljon.

Unfortunatly the second time there I felt unwanted by the service. I don't know if it was because I dined alone or maybe because I did not speak Finnish but one waitress didn't even bother to talk to me when bringing the food or taking the order I got to hear nothing more than "valmis?!". (Thanks for the kind waitress that still checked on me afterwards even tough I was not her table.) As a waitress myself it really hurts to see someone giving a customer the "what do you want" attitude. Even the good food didn't help the experience a lot unfortunatly. Since it already happend similarly some weeks ago I decided to not come back to eat here anymore. Maybe bigger groups or finnish speaking guests are luckier. The food was really...

Welcomed by a bear statue, the place features names like Aegir and Odin, and it's spacious and family-friendly. The menu has a very Viking feel with names like "Shield of Odin" and "Dessert Shield of Frigga". We ordered the Blacksmith's Pan for 25.90 euros and the Game Sword of Lámr the Giant for 39.20 euros for one person. Water costs 1 euro, which was disappointing since most restaurants in Turku offer free water. Dining around 3pm, the place filled up quickly, and the staff mentioned they were fully booked until the evening. We spent 69.60 euros for a Saturday lunch for two, which included complimentary small chocolates. The service was good.
