Café du Roi René — Restaurant in Aix-en-Provence

Firstly the service was awful, we waited an hour, asking about food, while the waitress just went away! Then after the hour of waiting they brought only one food out of 5 from which 3 where crepes! Looking a the risotto, the first thing that stroke us was the animal hair in the middle of the plate, we baited between either a cat or a dog! Then the mussles came, tasteless, without any seasoning and not even salt nor pepper on the table, when fished fresh they still have more salt than what I've been served! The fries that came with had a taste, too bad it was old oil! Did they forget the seasoning too, or was it a deliberate choice? We still don't know, but I wouldn't count on that! Coming back to the risotto, the saint Jacques where obviously frozen (weird, because it's so close to the sea), overcooked, chewy and also tasteless, a word we'll use a great deal on this review! The crepes were slimy, what a shame, couldn't even do a proper crepe! Then, after paying the bill, water from the sunshade drenched our table, our clothes and our bags.complaining to the waiter, he just pointed to the kitchen! Easily the worst meal we've had in over 12 weeks of vacationing in France since 2014...and that's a lot of meals. All the salads were well below average...chevre salad was served with cold chèvre, not warm as mentioned on the menu. Just a huge chunk of cold chèvre instead of thinner slices. Je ne suis pas du genre à mettre de mauvais commentaire, mais il aurait suffit que le gérant de cet établissement ose dire que je ne voulais pas payer pour que je le mette. Après une attente plutôt classique, notre tartare et burger sont servi, or, le burger demander bleu arrive à point. Je demande au serveur de le changer chose qu'il fait. Le second que l'on m'amène et une nouvelle fois trop cuit, mais je décide de le manger tout de même, précisons que les frites étais pratiquement froide. Pour le dessert, je commande un fondant au chocolat, dessert classique mais que l'on me sert comme totalement déchiqueter. Avec un gros tas de chantilly poser de manière très aléatoire. Ce dernier n'étais de plus pas très très bon. Cerise sur le gâteau lorsque nous demandons pour la troisième fois l'addition et qu'enfin un serveur nous l'amène, une erreur figure sur l'addition. Je décide donc d'en parler en caisse, le responsable caisse m'envoie vers le patron qui m'envoie bouler puis aller voir le chef des cuisines assis à côté... ce dernier me dot mais il y a du monde. Bref la catastrophe. Je ne savais pas que sous prétexte du monde on pouvait servir n'importe quoi au client. Bref nous avons quand même eu un geste commercial, mais après que le patron ai dit "encore un qui ne veux pas payer" hors quand je console je paye par respect.
