This tapas bar had a really good cuisine in 2013 and 2014, unfortunately they could not maintain their high quality and were quite disappointing on our last visit in early 2015.
The service was ok, quite fast with the drinks but we had to wait some time to get our food. We ordered 5 tapas plates. First the honey flavoured duck breast, the dish was already cold and the sauce was too diluted, the duck was well done but completely lacked in flavor. The fried calamary rings were also cold and soaked in their frying grease, the same for the mozzarella sticks, their duff was also still sticky and not quite ready. The serrano ham garnished potatoes with cheese were cold and the potatoes were a bit raw altough this dish was together with the calamary the most tasty, in the given circumstances. At last the curry sauce of the chicken sticks was also diluted and the whole dish didn't really taste well, the chicken itself lacked again in flavor as the sauce was too watery, here the chicken did not have the right consistency, maybe it was not all quite done. And to round it all up the bread was already a bit hard.
But the wine was fine, which shouldn't be too hard to achieve in the south of France. The price was, in the light of the lack of quality, quite high for 5 dishes and 2 cups of wine a total of 40€.
I would suggest not to give up on the restaurant since in the last two years this was one of the best tapas bars we have ever seen, maybe they will find their...
Read moreIt pains me to give a sour review but nothing I had here with a friend one August night was redeemable. The shrimp a la plancha were not bad. The ceviche was outright terrible, but to be fair, after a few orders of ceviche throughout France, it’s clear the French don’t do ceviche well. A beef sauté dish was tough and chewy. The potatoes with chorizo were not bad. I didn’t even bother getting photos as we left most of the dishes unconsumed and left and went elsewhere to really eat. On the upside, their cocktails were good and it wasn’t terribly...
Read moreVery lively place. Important to make a reservation, we tried just turning up one night but had to book for the next night. People were also being turned away the next night. Busy, friendly. However, the food was extremely variable. The good - calamaras con chorizo - hot and fresh, the bad - cold meatballs and nachos that we thought had no cheese until we found a puddle of it at the bottom of the bowl, not even touching any chips. The food seemed to improve as the night went on, maybe as the kitchen was busier and meals...
