The fare here shines, with a select menu offering fresh du jour dishes. I think the reviews on Google thus far somewhat unfairly penalise this well-located restaurant because of the associated hotel and the apparent offering there. Without being able to comment on that aspect, I will say that the food was well-presented, tasty, and classic, and we enjoyed being able to practice ordering in French with a friendly, patient waiter who understood our English / French but spoke to us in French. We had pate foie gras and melon with Parma ham to start; Angus entrecote and a very tasty fish catch of the day for mains; topped of with a shared crisp apple tart and ice cream for dessert. All well recommended. We did encounter a snag at the end of service when trying to get our bill, and which took about 1/2 hour to get; but being in no rush, we happily and quietly obliged to allow the waiter to service what had become a full restaurant.

We were there for a weekend. We could drop off the luggage at noon and got a call at 3pm that the room is ready for check-in. The hotel itself and the location is super nice. Very central located. The room itself and the bathroom was very small and didn’t have enough space for hanging clothes. It was very tidy and clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was included (you can chose a dish from the menu) and a coffee and orange juice is also free of charge. I had the avocado toast and my partner had the egg Benedict. I didn’t like the taste of the food at all. I didn’t even finish my avocado toast 🥴 After we finished breakfast we went to another cafe in the city to have a good breakfast. I wouldn’t stay there again. Location and design of the hotel is great but that’s it. Plus the river at night is so loud you can’t leave the window open. The staff was polite but didn’t leave an outstanding impression.

Review for hotel restaurant. We had a day visit to Annecy & decided to go this restaurant for lunch as the restaurant next door we intended was closed. The restaurant was in a superb location & was beautifully designed inside .. first impression was good especially with warm welcome. Then the service seemed to go downhill. .. waiter gave us menu & asked if we wanted a drink .. order a bottle of water(wasn’t asked if we wanted tap water!) & a small glass of house Côtes du Rhône We ordered Starters & main meals which were very nice but not exceptional especially for the price talking off - the price for the drinks were extortionate & left a sour taste as it felt like quintessential rip off place … 8€ for a bottle of water & 12€ for a very small glass of house wine .. perhaps some think that’s reasonable!!

Annecy itself is an absolute gem. What a beautiful historic town surrounded by a stunning view of the Alps sitting behind the sparkling lake. The hotel is in an ideal spot in the old town with plenty of shops and bars and cafes to try. However, this hotel is disgusting and although we plan on visiting Annecy again we certainly won't be staying here. This is a budget hotel to say the least, the price was cheap however I have stayed in plenty of budget hotels and although basic in their presentation they are usually at least cheerful and clean. This hotel is dark and dismal, the corridors smell funny, the room itself is dirty, even my ten year old was concerned about walking on the carpet! The carpet is old and stained and needs replacing, the curtains were hanging off, there was hooks for a shower curtain but no actual curtain on the hooks, we had half a toilet roll (if that) the one and only electric socket in the main room was coming away from the wall, the door handle in the bathroom is falling off, tiles missing, black stains in the toilet, the toilet brush - gross!!! Breakfast was ok but not really worth the money, was seated next to a lovely dusty window with cobwebs. The noise is horrendous on a night - it's on a main street so expected noise but this was from within the hotel - you can hear every door and voices carry very loudly. Just because it is a budget hotel doesn't mean you shouldn't have pride in your business!! Lots of maintenance work and a good old clean required here, such a shame for a lovely old building in the prime position of a gorgeous town! Definitely won't be coming to stay in this...

The owner and the manager have been just so understanding of what one may experience whilst travelling Europe and allowed me to cancel, reschedule dates as I requested.

Upon my eventual arrival, I was greeted with smiles and a lovely cuddle by the owners dog that helped melt all my worries away.

The manager, Inez, really attended to all my requests over the stay and was always happy to assist my husband and me with absolutely everything. The manager is certainly a gem to this establishment, as is Paul, who always greeted us and helped us with our luggage.

Stay experience: Pro: The inclusion of breakfast is a very warm and welcoming, not to mention a very convenient addition to the stay.

Con: Any requested external service enquired about, such as laundromat, hair salon, nail bar, massage place, activities, and attractions in town, I was directed to check online by the hotel reception staff. After walking the town, I found most of the above services conveniently located within almost metres from the hotel.

Overall, the property location, restaurant food, and service were brilliant. I am giving the hotel 4 stars because of the lack of in room provisions and the lack of assistance provided to a tourist.

One thing, though, I had to leave the property one day earlier, and the manager didn't show understanding with any refund, even a partial refund of the additional night that was already paid. This is certainly not an expectation, but I guess it would have been a nice gesture considering we dined and wined, spent quite a bit at the restaurant a...
