La Coupole — Restaurant in Annecy

We just stopped here for dinner as we could not find a place in couple of other restaurants we wanted to go based on research, during our one night stay at Annecy. But we were so glad we came here, the food was amazing. The menu was simple but each dish we order were delicious and real specialty for us. The wine was also very good. On top I felt, it was very reasonably prices. 3 of us eat starters, main course with initial beer and full bottle of wine for only 120 euros. We had bo place in our stomach for dessert as the portions were quite generous :) The staff were very friendly and nice, we came a bit late and hence took a bit of time and we were probably the last one but they were very accommodating and treated us with smile all the time. Actually we got a nice window seat on first floor with nice lighting and look to outside made it...

It was a first restaurant in Annecy when we arrived after a long train ride, but won’t regret that we didn’t explore further because there food was warm and fresh, the water and drinks were cold (colder than usual European lukewarm drinks) and had good vibes. We ordered goat cheese salad and Savoyard parmentier, which were good. Salad dressing can be better with less oil but more flavour though. The 3 fromage platter was ordinary because it was not special at all but did hit the spot. Not much of soul /identity in the menu, because they do mostly touristy food.

The service was good, friendly and efficient enough. The staff was smiley enough. It was hard for us to order as their English menu is not English, half way...

I’m almost never writing reviews, but this time I had to, it was a nightmarez The service is very bad. One of us ordered the Le Poulet, and they came with another plate without letting us know. They explained that the one we ordered was not available anymore. Further, I ordered fondue, it came without the bread, they took 25 minutes to bring the bread. And it was too less bread. We ordered more bread to finish the fondue, but it never came. If the food was nice, I would be ok with it, but even the food was not the best.
