Our experience was HORRENDOUS. The main dishes were not only fowl smelling, but quite frankly inedible. As a frequent restaurant goer (and a former waiter)-- I've never before ordered food which I felt I could absolutely not eat. We were shocked when not only one but both of our entrees were terrible. We sat for 15 minutes without eating, debating what to do. In the interim, not once did the waitresses ask if we were enjoying our meal or if we needed anything. After going back and forth, we decided it was fair to ask to not be charged for the main dishes, as we did not take more than a bite or two from each. Not wanting to make a scene, I went to the side to speak to the waitress and ask that we not be charged for the entrees that we did not eat from-- she rudely dismissed my request not trying to compromise nor find any solution, and approached the table with the chip scanner demanding we pay the full amount. My girlfriend politely explained the issue at hand once more, and said that we'd of course, pay for the coffees (which to add insult to injury, weren't great), but the waitress persistently and rudely demanded the money, making quite a spectacle out of the situation. We did not want to fight not did we intend to make more of a scene, so we appeased her by paying the full amount, after which she rudely said bye and walked away. We not only left hungry, but embarrassed and extremely upset. Easily the worst experience I've had at a restaurant. WOULD AVOID AT...

We went there tonight for a Mother’s Day date night. We had a reservation. Unfortunately, they were short-staffed, so it was a bit of a shitshow. The staff seemed clearly stressed with the high demand.

One tourist who was there before us gave up and left when the staff didn’t give him the time or day. That was unfortunate.

We were first outside, which was lovely, but then it got cold and they were kind enough to accommodate us inside.

The place was packed and the waiter warned us it would take a bit longer to get our food and drinks. It did take forever. We would have just appreciated our drinks first to make our wait more bearable (we were both starving and really wanted water).

The food was delicious and our waiter upstairs was kind and tried his best. My husband had the burger and I had the cheese fondue.

It took forever (45+ minutes) to get our dessert because they thought they had already served it…

It was overall a lovely evening with great food, but it ended on a sour note when one of the waiters (owner perhaps?) chased us down to make sure we paid. We had already settled the bill with our waiter upstairs. It was so strange and so unpleasant. He was apologetic when we showed proof we paid, but sadly the damage...

The reviews this place previously got must be a joke. The food is overpriced for what it is and the food is below average. Also it upset my partners stomach. The only good thing about this place was how nice and attentive the waitresses and waiters were.

The menu was confusing to start with. The cheese fondue was a disgrace, not traditional at all. It was essentially one kind of cheese melted. The oil and the cheese was separated as well. The tartiflette was way over price for what you get. It was potatoes in a tasteless sauce with bacon bits and a pastry that does not cover the whole dish. Although the tiramisu was alright, the cheesecake was bland. The only good food we ate was the side salad which you can make easily at home. But one thing to mention, the salad came with some charcuterie on the side which was so obviously purchased from a supermarket near by.

I paid €80 for two set menus, one beer and a lemonade. It was a waste of my money, you would be better off staying hungry. It is a tourist trap. Considering the uncomfortable situation my partner was in rest of the night, I should get...

This is the sort of busy place, in a popular area, where the prices seem high, that I usually avoid. Was drawn in by the clearly marked vegan options on the menu and I’m so glad we tried it! The portions are decent- just look at how many falafel balls you get with the appetizer. We loved the vegan ‘risotto’ which isn’t risotto in the way I know it, but regardless it’s creative and delicious. It’s coconut but I wouldn’t describe it as coconut-y as the flavor is light and there’s so much else going on in the dish. The bowl of sweet potato fries is gigantic and they came out piping hot and perfectly cooked. Pretty cool that they come with housemade vegan mayo by default. If you splurge on one old town outside place, this is worth it.

We were recommended this place from the guy at chez franz where we had an amazing lunch earlier that day. A beautiful looking restaurant with some top class service from the staff. The presentation of the food was amazing but oh my there was little taste to everything we ordered. My Tartiflette looked great but the taste was quite bland and again my wives dish looked amazing but that too was disappointing and lacking in taste. The Aperol spritz was also really poor too. Hopefully we caught them on a bad night. We so wanted it to be good as it was our friends first time in Annecy and first time eating some Savoyard food.
