Il Segreto — Restaurant in Antony

Had a true "heart attack" experience with this amazing pizza 😂. Saw the nice reviews and since I was staying relatively close (700m) decided to try it. Was there 5 mins after closing time but they accepted a take home order and viola pizza was done in around 10mins. Sadly due to being tired as... from 20km of walking today, I manage to leave my phone there while paying. 15mins later at the hotel - the ralization hit so hard as everything is on it nowdays (did not know the name or location without maps...). By luck while sprinting back to the place by sheer memory, saw 2 young guys and asked them for help. They were amazingly kind to help by letting me call my phone and speaking to the owner - who answered my phone 😮‍💨,so I can run back and get it (~30mins past closing time). We came on 9/8 and had a shaky experience. A very large, very loud table next to us dampened the experience initially, but guest behaviour is out of the staffs control and they handled it well. My daughter’s dinner got forgotten in the confusion and then the wrong plate delivered. We ended up taking all the food home as by the time it was sorted my daughter was too tired.

I still give this place 5 stars though as the food was delicious…. Even after a night in the fridge the steak was tender and tasty the next day.

The attitude of the team working was super, they were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The portion sizes were enormous, so, personally I was not sad to be taking my main home after a generous carbonara! I work in hospitality and know only too well how nights like this can occur! During our stay in Paris we were lucky to have accommodation in Montrouge, close to Il Segreto restaurant. After first visit to the restaurant we fell in love with this special place. If you like italian food don't look for other options. In Il Segreto you will find everything, great hospitality,authentical atmosphere, amazing food.
