First of all it’s a lovely place, you have to bring some time and make a reservation. The outside area is nicely decorated and cozy. We got a free starter with some olive paste and bread. We ordered foie gras for the starter, some fish, steak and the rosemary Creme brûlée for dessert. The main dishes have been really nice, the foie gras came with hazelnut bread AND hazelnuts inside the dish itself, for people with a hazelnut allergy, like myself, that’s quite dangerous and after having a few bites, it wasn’t fun no more. After telling/asking the waiter why they didn’t tell us, that it comes with hazelnuts (it wasn’t written in the menu), they said we should have tell them about all our medical records. Also they charged us for it in the end, which made the whole experience not that good. Otherwise it was quite okay, the food was alright, the wine was nice.

Don't understand five star rating. We took a menu (49 €), a fish (28 €), 4 glasses of wine (28 €), water (6€). Till we received the entrée of the menu we had to wait 40 mins (neighbors had to wait 1h20 for the dish to arrive). Fish was wonderful. Foie gras was not at all (a lot of veins were left) but the chief was reluctant to receive the feedback saying that it was good and "we were not lucky". And the waiting time they also didn't assume as a problem. In the end, after leaving we noticed that the menu was counted as separate dishes which resulted in extra 9€. Overall impression is that the place is overrated, overpriced and tailored for touristic flow, not for retaining the clients/reputation.

Absolutely incredible meal. The lamb was the most tender and moist I’ve ever had, and my wife’s filet de bœuf was excellent. We also tried the eggplant and smoked salmon zucchini “spaghetti” dish—beautifully balanced and full of flavor. The menu was simple and well-curated, which made ordering easy. The wine list was terrific—we had a local Cabernet Sauvignon that was bursting with flavor, and the staff kindly gave us the name of the winery just 10 minutes down the road. Service was outstanding: warm, kind, and impressively fast. The food arrived perfectly warm, and the cozy cave setting in the back of the restaurant added a cool, intimate atmosphere. A must-visit in Gordes.

Beautiful setting and good food, but service handling fell far short of expectations. A wine service mistake — where our bottle went missing after three glasses — was addressed by the supervisor lady in an over-powering manner, which spoiled the evening’s warmth. Smaller lapses, including a wine spill, difficulty opening a cork at the table, and forgetting a guest’s wine by the glass despite reminders, added to the disappointment during what was meant to be a special family dinner. With better service etiquette, this place could truly match its culinary potential.

We visited this restaurant in Gordes on 10th August 2025 for our first dinner on our first night in the village. The food quality was good, but unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by how a service issue was handled.

We had ordered a high-quality bottle of red wine. After three glasses were served, the bottle was unexpectedly missing. The supervisor lady later attending our table admitted there had been a mistake and offered a replacement bottle, which we declined, paying the full €88 as billed. While mistakes can happen, the manner in which this was addressed — including a strong-toned “let me complete” mid-conversation — felt over-powering and left us feeling sad and uncomfortable in front of our children.

Having travelled widely and dined at Michelin-starred establishments worldwide, we place high value on professional and courteous service. This incident, combined with the smaller oversights mentioned above, unfortunately left a negative impression and ensured we...

We had a very pleasant evening in this restaurant. The chef and his wife we charming in the conversation. The ambience was pleasant and calm. We really liked that the menu card was not large but everything was prepared with local high-quality ingredients and the food was very delicious! I had eggplant for a starter, scallops for main and chocolate fondant for dessert. My husband had fois gras for starter, lamb for main and chocolate fondant as well. All the meals were incredibly good! I fell in love with dessert especially. Another interesting thing to try would be their wine infusions Vin de Noix and Colombo. These were outstanding and we never had anything like that. Totally worth trying. 5...
