Grand Café Victoria-Trattoria — Restaurant in Arcachon

Even 1 star is too much. We ordered Focaccia and an Assiette (cheese,ham,fish) Which is completely bad for all the ingredients, but that was not the only problem. The food was tasting horrible and was warm..! The service was not good too, unfriendly and not helpful, they seemed unbothered and couldn’t speak French. They wanted us to pay the whole plate even tho we ate nothing, I refused so the owner came and was rude from the first second eventho she didn’t ask/ knew what was going on. “It’s better that you will speak French now” (in French) then we discussed in French. She was rude, disrespectful and didn’t understand our point. Positive thing first: This restaurant is perfectly located at the ocean front of Arcachon. But it's a tourist trap. The waitress took our order and asked us for additional water where we agreed. Then we were served bottled natural water for 5 EUR while our French neighbours on the next table got served the free tap water. Since I am eating sea food frequently I could instantly notice that the sea food from the plate was not of good quality: Two of the eight oysters on our plate were even just shells and the mussels came with grass sticked to their shells which is a sign of bad cleaning. Given that it's next to an ocean I am expecting a better quality. Nice seafront restaurant with a satisfying range of choices, mixing Italian dishes and local cuisine. The service was well executed by the waitress, very kind and polite.

The food was overall quite good, felt fresh but we still had 2 points a little disappointing:

I found a hair in my pizza. My companion had a few clams that were empty in her pasta, and not just that the meat fell out in the dish, it was simply the shells.

While we didn't ask for anything from the waitress about those two points (mentioned at the end of the meal), it would have been appreciated if the restaurant offered a small gesture of compensation.
