LE PITT réouverture 6 fevrier 2026 — Restaurant in Arcachon

This is a brilliant restaurant surfer the freshest of seafood just up from the beach. There is a lot of outdoor seating and some indoor tables as well. There were some items on the menu, not available, but this is understandable given they only use fresh produce from local fisherman. We shared a roasted Camembert, which was amazing and could’ve been a meal in itself between two people. We couldn’t finish it and still have room for the seafood platter which came next. It was fantastic and fresh. Whelks are not a shellfish commonly eaten in Australia and I don’t know why as they are delicious. The prawns were small, but rich and flavorful, the oysters were delicious but the artist inclusion was a pork pate in a tin. It was great but sat oddly with the fresh seafood. Of note were the vinaigrettein a jar and the Tata sauce. We had a beautiful rosé which set off the seafood perfectly. Wonderful service from the single waitress who was an absolute champion. 3 of us ordered both food platters (seafood and cold cuts), sides of foie gras, onion soup and smoked salmon.

The service was excellent overall, was treated kindly by the staff and really loved the whole ambience.

Coming back here I would recommend the prawns on its own. They were sweet and fresh. If ordering the platters there wouldn’t be a need to order too many sides.

Personally i Still am getting used to having snails served cold. The soup in my opinion tasted homely and was on the richer end(perhaps for 2 people to share).

Our first time trying oysters – and they were truly delicious!

Since we had never eaten oysters before, we were kindly given recommendations on what to order and how to eat them. The waitress was very friendly and, to our delight, spoke very good English and even a bit of German.

We really enjoyed the food and can highly recommend the restaurant Le Pitt. Nice atmosphere, great service, delicious food, and a lovely view of the casino. The price-performance ratio is also spot on.
