We were a group of 4 and without reservation we could not have manage to get a table. Location of the restaurant is in narrow cosy street nearby the heart of the city center. We have ordered two tapas to start, 4 entry’s (oeuf parfait and mules) and to dinner ‘boeuf tigre qui pleure’ , 1 bottle of red wine and 4 coups of white wine. The food was good and well cooked , the ratatouille was well done . Why not a 4 or 5 stars? Service was a bit too long ( and they mistake in one order) but very nice, price was pushy (50 eur per person) , food quality could be taken to the next level on the main dishes (less potatoes and less ratatouille). I’ve never been to a restaurant where the chef also takes your order. His passion for cooking is lights up the room and the ambience made everyone feel right at home… if at home we ate like kings.
I ordered the oeuf parfait with the shiitake mushrooms and the crying tiger. The egg was perfect, unlike any egg I’ve had before. And, normally I don’t like mushrooms, but the way it was prepared had everyone saucing their bowl with the bread. Not a crumb was left behind.
