Brasserie 1901 — Restaurant in Arrondissement of Nanterre

A typical French brasserie which has high quality food, I came here a few times and have not been disappointed. It is a big restaurant which has spaces both indoor and outdoor. They are pretty busy during lunch time as it has lots of locals and workers who works in La Défense. Yet the staffs are friendly as much as they could spare their time. Que dire table réservée la veille pour 13h00 coté terrasse pour 4 personnes nous étions là pile à 13h00 aucune table de réservée et c'était bien écrit sur leur calepin de réservation ils ont improvisé au bout de 6 minutes une table pour 4 pile dans l'entrée sans parasol.

Ensuite 35 minutes pour venir prendre commande et là dans leur menu entrée plat ou plat dessert pour 25€ sur 5 entrées et 5 plats il n'y avait plus que le choix entre 2 entrées et 2 plats nous avons du nous rabattre sur la carte avec des plats à plus de 31 et 34 € saint jacques, rognons en cocotte et filet de boeuf, hors mis la bonne cuisson du filet le reste saint jacques du caoutchouc, pareil pour rognon trop cuit alors que nous avions demandé rosé, tagliatelle beaucoup trop cuite et les desserts je n'en parle pas mille feuille avec un croustillant inexistant et pâte à chou et chantilly industrielle. bref total pour 4 personnes 186€ 3 plats 2 desserts et 1 bouteille de rosé puis 2 cafés....

Food was pretty good. Service was bad. We went at 10am, 3 hours after they opened. Just sloooooow. Like, slower than average in Paris. Would I go back? Nope. Plenty of other better restaurants. Also, my wife chipped a tooth on the bread. And the bread really had no flavor so it was totally not worth chipping...
