Upon booking we were given the option to have an 'extreme king bed' but when we arrived we discovered that this meant 2 single beds on wheels pushed together which were different heights and moved apart during the night making it difficult for a couple to sleep. The complementary tea and coffee were not restocked at all. We put the 'do not disturb' sign on the door and the cleaner came in anyway leaving us to question why provide the sign if it was going to be ignored anyway I always thought that these signs had the sole purpose of keeping the cleaner from coming in and disrurbing you and the lock on the inside of the door was pointless too as it failed to lock at all. The cleanliness was also questionable as the bed sheets were not changed and upon looking under the bed there were pistachio shells and dust which were certainly not ours and there was white particles in the kettle despite rinsing it out first. The cups provided for tea and coffee were meant for espresso only and were not big enough. In the description the room was described as "soundproof" which was certainly not true as we could hear the TVs coming from other rooms and other guests talking outside our door. For some reason the main light in the room was faulty as it would not turn on only the bathroom and lamp lights worked. The remote for the TV was also not working properly. Also another important thing that is not mentioned in the hotel spec is the fact that it is right next to a cemetery and the entire surrounding area is undergoing construction. As for travelling around it is a bit out of the way and the nearest train station is about half an hour walk although there are bus stops closer by. Another problem was the 'pre-authorisation' of your payment card 3 days before your arrival date. Although this isn't usually a problem, the fact that my booking allowed me to cancel for free the day before we were due to arrive, €94 was taken from my account 3 days before and when we arrived we were charged the full price despite this amount already being taken. All in all I would not stay here again and I would not recommend this hotel for couples as it is...
