Casa Cardito — Restaurant in Arrondissement of Nanterre

We really want to love this restaurant but it does everything to ensure that we don’t. It’s just a total disappointment. We tried the week of opening and then twice more to give it a chance. There is one positive element - the decoration- I love it. I mean really love it. But - the service is slow and not professional, the food is slow and it’s just not good. It feels like it all came out of the microwave. Lukewarm warmed-up pasta, dry little pizzas not freshly made, escalope Milanese 80% overcooked breadcrumbs, 10% chewy bits, 10% meat with an afterthought of a few ripped up bits of spinach (I think). It’s expensive in absolute terms but also relative to other places nearby which have been around much longer. They need to pull their socks up big time or it will be dead by Easter. Soirée complètement ratée nous avions décidé de réserver dans ce restaurant récemment ouvert, ce fut un très mauvais choix, nous avons dû attendre pas mal de temps pour passer notre commande bien que le restaurant était loin d’être complet, il n’y avait plus de raviolis, nous avions porté notre choix sur des tagliatelles au saumon et une pizza, et on nous a servi des linguines au saumon, sans nous demander notre avis. De plus les pâtes étaient plus que tièdes et surtout plus qu’al dente, et la pizza était aussi tiède . Nous en avons fait part au serveur qui nous a répondu qu’il n’était habilité à gérer ce genre de problème et qu’il allait nous envoyer le responsable qui est venu nous voir après près de 10 minutes, pour nous dire qu’il avait fait déjà ce genre de réflexion au chef qui est italien, qu’il lui a dit qu’on était en France et non en Italie et qu’il devait adapter sa cuisine aux goûts français , mais il ne nous a jamais proposé de changer nos plats, qui sont repartis presque intacts, et dans sa grande générosité il nous a offert UN DESSERT POUR QUATRE, finalement nous avons payé 110€ pour 3 plats de pâtes et une pizza et un tiramisu et une bouteille d’eau minérale, ça fait cher, NOUS NE REVIENDRONS PLUS ET NOUS VOUS CONSEILLONS SINCÈREMENT D’ÉVITER CET ÉTABLISSEMENT ILN’Y A AUCUNE CHANCE QUE...

Phenomenal time here at this hidden gem.... not only was the food divine (try the signature pasta, you won't regret it!) but our server, who we endearingly referred to as "Don Julio" really set the tone.
