We were four people eating at chez nine and really enjoyed the food that was prepared for us. Having been tired of searching for places that are overpriced and touristic, it is clear that this restaurant set out to provide quality food for a fair price. The chef and waiters also went the extra mile by preparing an omelette with mashed potatoes specially for our 20 month old. From the menu and quality it is clear that the chef is passionate about cooking and serving people. I highly recommend this place if you ever pass by Avignon. Thank you to all the crew of Chez Nine.

Perhaps a small suggestion to the restaurant, if you want, perhaps keep a booster seat for children in the back. It does not take up a lot of space and will help...

We've got lured into the alley by the good smell we've encountered on the corner. The restaurant looked very inviting and cute so we walked in and gotten directly welcomed and showed a free table.

Small but very creative and authentic menu with french dishes which got also explained patiently to us because we didn't understand everything on the menu.

We've had a quiche and a pasta with Roquefort and sausage in it. Both dishes tasted amazing. The bill was 37,50 for 2 dishes and 2 drinks which is absolutely fair for such a lovely lunch! The owner was unfortunately very racist to my girlfriend, which is never acceptable. When entering the restaurant, she started lecturing on how they did not follow french customs, only because they went to wait for the waiter inside, rather than outside? Then, when trying to order food, they were once again berated for not adhering to french customs when they tried to order two dishes for three people, as their sick father was not able to eat due to his illness. This is just terrible behaviour, and should never have happened. Being European myself, I have never experienced such disrespectful behaviour in France, but only because they come from a different continent, they will be treated like this, it...
