LE JOAT — Restaurant in Avignon

AMAZING! Definitely destined for a Michelin star (or two), I highly recommend the 6 course menu. You'll get a procession of small yet delightfully elaborate and delicious plates integrating a variety of flavors and textures. The plating is meticulous and beautiful, and the service is friendly. I agree with those who say it's the best in Avignon, and if the chef can maintain the quality and the variety, within a few years to be considered amongst the top 50 or 100 in the world. We came to Le Joat for a late-ish lunch (1:30 sitting) and thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. We opted for the 3 course menu for lunch, which was limited to only 2 options per course, but these were outstanding and all 7 of us were very happy with our choices. The food was beautifully presented, but above all, tasted wonderful with rich flavours and excellent ingredients. ✨ Une pépite au cœur d’Avignon ! ✨

Nous avons eu le plaisir de découvrir ce restaurant en plein centre-ville d’Avignon, et quelle merveille ! Le cadre est tout simplement magnifique, décoré avec goût, et l’ambiance chaleureuse nous enveloppe dès les premiers instants. On s’y sent bien, comme chez soi… mais en mieux !

Nous avons opté pour le menu découverte, une véritable symphonie culinaire : mise en bouche, entrée, poisson, viande, dessert… Chaque plat était un festival de saveurs, travaillé avec finesse et créativité. Les associations sont audacieuses et explosent en bouche, un vrai régal du début à la fin.

Un immense bravo au chef pour cette cuisine raffinée, à la gérante pour son accueil attentionné, et à Mathis, notre serveur, qui a été tout simplement parfait : souriant, à l’écoute, professionnel… exactement comme on aime être reçu.
