MAISON Del Cotto — Restaurant in Avignon

I was here yesterday because of the many good reviews. I had ordered a lasagna au boeuf. It came with a nice fresh salad. I should have been suspicious because the plate wasn't hot as it should have been when been in the oven The taste was OK. The consistency of the pasta however was very soft. In the middle the lasagna was cold! However, the consistency of the pasta in the middle was that of mashed potatoes. I honestly wouldn't know how to treat pasta to come up with a consistency like that. It was either severely overcooked or it had been deepfried. I strongly suspect that it had been heated up in the microwave. I had scraped the middle away ( a good fourth of the portion) because it was inedible. As far as the service is concerned: if a customer leaves a good fourth scraped away on his plate, you just don't use your standard expression: ça y était? but you notice that something was wrong and ask if the dish was not alright. I's been a long time since I have tasted anything of such bad cooking and left the restaurant...

We had a very unpleasant experience here and unfortunately will not be returning. I went with my girlfriend and ordered two Aperol Spritz and a pizza for myself. When the waiter (who I believe was the owner) turned to her and asked what she wanted, she politely said she wasn’t hungry. Instead of simply taking the order, he made a very rude remark, saying it was “strange” that she didn’t want food and that we were ordering only this while sitting at a table for four. I politely offered to move to another table, but his overall attitude toward us remained dismissive, unprofessional, and rude.

This is not the first time we’ve visited, but after being treated like that, it will definitely be the last. A customer should never be made to feel uncomfortable or judged for...

Very disappointing. The pastas (we ordered three different ones) had no flavour AT ALL (all three of us had the same opinion on this, one of us being an italian too). We paid 14,5 euro per pasta which is a shame. I had to add too much salt and olive oil for it to be healthy in order for it to have SOME flavour. You need to step up your game.

I recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes plain pasta with barely any taste, and would like to pay 14,5...
