For me no visit to France is complete without a Religieuse from a good patisserie, my wife feels the same about her Tartellette aux fruits. Maison Lemoisson did not disappoint! The bread and sandwiches are also excellent. Though the choice of sandwiches goes down after about 1pm as they are all fresh. Service was super and cheerful (they humoured my desire to use my somewhat imperfect French). One not to miss if you are in Bayeux.

Cute pastry shop. Very friendly staff. Got two Saint Eves which were incredible - I’ve never had anything like them before. Ball shaped airy pastry with a creme filling - kind of sandwiched between the two pastry sides. Hard to describe. The filling is very rich so you don’t really need more than one haha. The structural rigidity of the Saint Eve kind of depends on the creme staying cool btw so try not to let it get warm just FYI

This was a regular (daily?) stop for us on our recent visit to Bayeux. Their selection of bread and pastry was excellent, with both classic pastries and local creations. One of the most interesting reminded me of an individual croquembouche; small choux pastry ball filled with a sweet cream, covered in a hardened blond caramel that had a light crunch. Very nice!

The staff were wonderful, too. Friendly and warm, helpful, and patient with those of us visiting who do not speak French. They made us feel welcome and...

A cute little patisserie with a beautiful assortment of baked goods and friendly service. We stopped in during our visit to Bayeux and I remembered hearing about the Saint Eve pastry, so we got a couple. It's plain on the outside, and we weren't sure what to expect. It turned out to be the best pastry either of us has ever had. It is the pastry by which all others will be judged and found wanting. This is a must for any...
