Our first evening in Bayeux and we did not realize that even a basic creperie would need a reservation. Thank goodness the front desk of our hotel warned us. We made a reservation here and were surprised to find a very small, very casual shotgun style restaurant. We were seated about 5 tables from the entrance with a good view of how many people were turned away without a reservation. This is a basic crepe restaurant with savory and sweet crepes, and that is about it. Good thing they are really tasty! We stared with a Kir Breton and a Kir Normand – two excellent drinks we would have often while in Normandy. For our crepes we had a Chevrette -- œuf, jambon, chèvre, salade verte et tomate fraiche, and an Antilope -- œuf, jambon, emmental, champignons, tomates cuites, ail. The flavors were outstanding. Mine, the Antilope, had an over easy egg right on top as we would learn most crepes in the city do. The Chevrette did not. For dessert we shared a caramel and pear with Chantilly crepe. In total between savory and dessert, there must be nearly 70 crepes to select from. Really liked it. And service was outstanding.

This little restaurant offers a hidden courtyard, where you can enjoy your food in a nice and quiet athmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive. The menu offers a great variety of Crêpes and Galettes as well as some starters and desserts. All the dishes we had were tasty, well-balanced, and well sized. We can definitely recommend this place.

We pretty enjoyed eating here except today. We ordered 2 Super Complete just like a few customers who just arrived. We ordered just at the same time while we were standing in front of the menus which are on the wall. After a few bites of the crepe, I wondered where onions and mushrooms are. I needed veggies in my crepe. However, there wasn't any! We told the waitress we ordered "Super Complete" . She said she heard "Complete" and took our plates back to the kitchen for a change. A couple of mins later, she said we already ate a part and we had to pay for the crepe we started and the Super Complete. She insisted she heard we order Complete. I wondered why she couldn't at least repeat to confirm our order when taking order. I also wondered why she couldn't apologize for her mistake or misunderstanding for being polite that's the bottom line. We will never come back to spend 1 cent here. There're other nice and decent restaurants...

An extremely good experience on 2 successive evenings with a party of 16. The first visit was unreserved. Madame was charming, efficient, English speaking, attentive and watchful. The food was lovely. The prices were realistic. The service was super quick and efficient with eye-catching presentation. You might gather from these comments that I was happy. It is the first 5star review I have ever posted for anything. There will be better, pricier, posher eating places but this place is well located and first class....
