Beautiful setting... Somewhat a victim of their success, I think. Situated right outside the main tourist attraction, the tapestry, so it's convenient. However, the night I went either they were understaffed or ... Our order took a lot of time, and then when it did come our party was served at intervals. Finally, for a crêpe or galette to be good, it needs to be served hot. Either the distance from the kitchen--as it's a huge place--or a another logistics problem made it so that our order came to us luke warm except when they forgot one of our dessert crêpes which came out expedited piping hot 10 minutes later. They also forgot a burrata in a salad we ordered that should have included it. The quality of the ingredients is top notch; the prices, fair compared to a lot of the other places in town; the two wines we ordered were very good. But the service mediocre and somewhat impersonal... I think we had three different people from the wait staff. Yes, I think the combination of the end of tourist season (fatigue!) and perhaps an organisational problem are at root. All in all, I would try it again because perhaps it was an off-night, and for a touristy city the restaurant didn't feel too touristy (I know a lot of...

We visited from the USA after taking tours and exploring the city. We did not have a reservation, but asked if they possibly could make an exception, perhaps with a short dining time. They graciously accommodated us (2) and we tried to be efficient. The recommendations for the food and the specials or non-regular menu items were amazing. Being a visitor to France I really wanted to experience the recommendations of the staff without presumption. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I speak only English, but especially after apologizing for not knowing French, everyone I interacted with was more than happy to help me anyway. I would recommend this restaurant for the excellent food, the kind and patient staff, and the atmosphere. Great for tourists.

A small recommendation for visiting any country outside of yours... Let the locals serve you the food they recommend, ask about it (but don't take too much time of busy people) and do not judge it until you try it.

If I visit again it will feel warmly nostalgic. Thank you, Le Moulin de la Galette, for making our last minute romantic dinner...

Edit: Went back the second time last Saturday and it's always a delightful treat going here 💖 my first time going here was in 2021 sotheir menu changed and they have more things to offer now! 💖 A bit sad the charming little water mill was being renovated and the water from the stream was being emptied. Despite this renovation, everything else was absolutely perfect! I just had to try the Satay and Kipik one. The sarrasin they served this time was a little bit overcooked so it was hard to cut it but the overall flavor is still good. For drinks: the kir Normand was absolutely delightful and the cider was good.

The service, as usual, is top notch! Our server, Clement, was so accommodating and nice. He was so funny and great! We came with 3 dogs and there were no issues 💖 they were even offered some water.

They offer a little fidelity card after paying. I definitely see myself coming back in the future! 💖 An absolutely incredible experience 😍💖 im so grateful my belle-mère brought me here. 💖 Food was incredible, staff and service was nice, will definitely go again if I'm back in...

We visited twice. On a Saturday night, we enjoyed both amazing hospitality and off-the-charts amazing food. The oysters, hands down the best we have ever had! My husband had an assiette de mar, house smoke salmon, crevettes, oysters. Then he ordered six more. Despite the usual guidebook nonsense about not sharing or having an entree as a main course, the staff never cared. I ordered the house-smoked salmon as an entree and then the choucroute of the sea, with house smoked haddock, rich, fatter salmon and more crevettes. With a creamy beure blanc. Spectacular! At evening’s end, it was clear this was a true team, un equipe. We made a reservation for two days later, lunch. We arrived 20 minutes late because of a series of mishaps. Staff welcomed us, including helping with wi-fi to help with my major mishap. No reproaches! We ordered more oysters, of course! And I had a galette, finally. Le Portaise, with house-smoked scallops, the WHOLE scallop, not what we are used to in the US, and their salmon. Huge portion. My husband had the amazing house-smoked salmon again.

We were extremely disappointed in this place as it was recommended in our guide book. We made a reservation ahead of time and asked for a nice table because it was our anniversary. Our table was okay, but not right next to the water like we asked. We got the onion soup but it had a lot of oil in it. I got the fish and chips which normally has the bones removed, but in the first bite there were multiple bones. I spent the entire meal carefully chewing the fish to get out the bones. My husband got the "British Burger" which we weren't sure what it was going to be because their was no description, but you assume it would be a normal burger. The beef "patty" itself was like pulled beef and the "buns" were crepe and not good :( We both got soggy, cold fries. The atmosphere and service were fine, but we did hear a lot of languages other than French, so it seems to be a tourist trap. There were two cats running around inside and out. They were cute to look at, but were inside and hoping on chairs and empty tables, not very sanitary.
