Read the ownerâs responses to low-star reviews. You will get a good idea of why service is so bad in this place.
Original review The food is good, but the service is impressively slow and lacking.
Go and expect to receive a menu anytime between 30-60 minutes after self-seating. Expect to receive your food anytime between 60-90 minutes.
Lower your service expectations as much as possible, and you'll be happy. Don't expect to get napkins or plates.
Again, I must say. When you do get your food after a very, very long wait, the food is good. Is it amazing? No. Just good.

So, we entered the restaurant around 20:50 We received the menus around 21:25 We made the order around 21:35 We got our appetizers around 21:50 We got our main dish around 22:10 And paid and left the restaurant precisely at 22:30
I am not exaggerating at all. We are better positioned to be time conscious than whoever responded to this review. I'll make sure I send a food influencer next time, and ask her to take a picture of her watch to give you a reality check.
A business owner could have read my review and thought of the following questions, and tried to find solutions... We're we over capacity? Are we understaffed? Are we overstaffed in certain areas? Are we institutionalized enough? Following lean processes and standards? Should we remove a table, or two, or three? Do we need training? How are others doing it? For instance, similar neighboring restaurants such as Le Palais de Jade? How can we be more inclusive? Be able to accept tourists? Families? Big families with kids?
Instead, the business owner, or just âthe ownerâ cause I donât think they take reviews in a business sense but rather take them personally. Whoever responded to this review does not seem to be fond of my reviewâsending us the least sincere apology. They thanked us, a family with three children (two toddlers), for leaving the table messy. Well, you're welcome. It...
Read moreFantastic food, however the service was shocking and clearly xenophobic. We arrived as a group of three sans reservation asking for a seated table. The restaurant was empty and we were told that all tables were fully booked and only a high bar area was available - this happened to be isolated and right at the other end of the restaurant. We are British-Asians.
By the time we left, the restaurant was still half empty - despite being âfully bookedâ.
In all my years of living in Paris and travelling around France pre Covid, I had never experienced such preferential treatment like this, but it seems the pandemic has really brought out the inequality and narrow-minded ness of people.
I came to Biarritz to celebrate my birthday this week and this experience really soured it for me. The irony is that this is a restaurant serving Japanese food, but as Asian tourists, Ihave never felt more unwelcome and different just because I am not...
Read moreEDIT: I realized this is NOT the same restaurant! I recommend you complain that on Uber eats there is a restaurant with almost exact same name as yours! I changed my review to 5*
Ordered on Uber Eats. It was shockingly bad, to the point I donât know how they messed up so badly.
Every single flavor was totally unbalanced, too salty, or just off with bad combinations of flavors.
The images on Uber eats of Karage versus what we got was like nothing similar, the yakitori was so dry and poorly seasoned honestly itâs sad to say but I donât really know how you can make something so unhealthy yet bad at the same time.
Pitaya which is like fast food Asian food honestly is substantially better than the food this place cooks.
I also have NEVER left a bad review like this but we threw everything away because it was...
