This place was lovely. I went to this on my second night in the beautiful biarritz and I was really hungry. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The beautiful waitress helped me with suggestions and tolerated my poor French. The steak was cooked perfectly ; seared nicely and the medium rare I ordered. The chips were likewise cooked nicely with a simple but tasty side salad. I ordered a chocolate fondant for dessert which was also excellent. The beef for two people was particularly good and more than we could eat. I had the fish donuts for an appetizer (it looked more like a Beignets) and the other two ate half of mine it was such a hit. All three desserts were we enjoyed, but the caramel cheesecake was amazing, light and full of flavor, best anyone of us had had. The green pepper and tomato salad stood out thanks to the freshness of the ingredients. However, the squid and shrimp appetizers felt too heavy and greasy. The fish arrived undercooked, and while the kitchen recooked it and served it as a fillet, the presentation suffered the second time around.
