We went with my wife to this place after a couple of years just to remind us of our second date together, the food was still really good and quite enough to be full at the end of the dinner. We just noticed the quality of the service just went down we think it's because of the COVID and the restaurant can't have some highly skilled staff. The organization is a bit confusing and maybe not structured enough. Maybe it's because we worked in the industry for several years and we noticed the small details. The restaurant is still really nice but maybe more scholarly than a traditional romantic restaurant we used to go to. With more structure I'm pretty sure the place is gonna go again to the beautiful restaurant we remember and we loved to go with my wife. By the way the wine list needs to be updated and have a lot of out of stock, Despite everything, I salute the perseverance of the waiters who try to make the experience unforgettable despite some...
Read moreThis was unfortunately the worst meal we had in France across all ranges of establishments. Things started off well, with good service and a tasty entrée of fois gras terrine, but everything went downhill after that. Understanding that French meals have a different pace, we nonetheless waited 20 minutes for our fully finished plates to be cleared and an additional 40 mins thereafter for our incredibly dry and overcooked plats of duck and veal. We decided to leave halfway through our meal and upon our exit, no one asked why we were departing early or even checked on how our experience was. Additionally, the restaurant was so hot that it was physically uncomfortable to sit there for so long. If you want a great meal in Beaune, skip this place and head to Le Bistro de L’Hotel instead, where we had an incredible meal the night before. From local boulangeries to Michelin stars, you can skip this place and find better food and...
Read moreWe asked the waiter for the sommelier to buy a nice bottle of wine and were told that he was too busy to help us. The waiter proposed to go ask him and came back with a recommendation. The wine proposed was supposed to be the best quality for the price and end up to be horrible. We’ve returned the the wine without asking for any favour and picked a better one. The Sommelier seems quite disturbed. Finally, the main course Beef Bourgignion was extremely salty. At the end we received two different cheese: on good and the other one tasted like Philadelphia cheese from Kraft. At the end we have paid the full bill without any discount and very disappointed to have such of a bad experience...
