Visiotrain — Attraction in Beaune

Having recently enjoyed a little train tour in Riquewihr, (good for my wife who has immobility issues) we were excited at the prospect of another in Beaune. I have to say it was very disappointing as a) the driver was quite abrupt and unhelpful when buying a ticket, she just said go to the back for english very sharply b) given the history of such a beautiful city as Beaune, the vast majority of the ride simply had music playing and did not even cover some of the main attractions c) Very little on wine history which was surprising d) the english was the American version with an awful drawl and mis-pronunciation. As we have some French between us and German, either or would have been better. So sad to be negative but on a comparison basis it...

The selling women was annoying, from the moment you paid she was not polite anymore and she asked the train to start while an old lady was getting on board. We had a wonderful time on board of the visiotrain in Beaune. The trip lasts 40 minutes and offers you a nice look on the city's landmarks, hidden corners and vineyards. Visitors choose a wagon according to the language and the journey starts. A good idea to have a general idea of the city without too much walking....
