Le Chemoine is an absolute gem, tucked away on a charming little street in the historic town of Bergerac. From the moment we stepped in, we knew we were in for a special experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the tone for a fantastic meal. My wife and I started with the foie gras, which was simply divine. For our main course, we had the grilled duck fillet, cooked to perfection, and ended the meal with a delicious dessert. Every dish was bursting with flavor, and you could really tell that the ingredients were of the highest quality. We loved that everything was locally sourced and beautifully prepared by the talented chef who is also the owner of the restaurant. The service was equally outstanding. Our waiter was extremely friendly, polite and professional, offering expert advice on the wine that made our experience truly unique. We opted for a bottle of local Pécharmant, a red wine produced in the hills northeast of Bergerac, and it was the perfect pairing for our meal. We absolutely loved it! If you’re visiting Bergerac, Le Chemoine is not to be missed. It’s a lovely place with a great atmosphere, superb food, and impeccable service. We can’t wait to return!

What a gem of a restaurant! Tucked away in a quiet cobbled back street..... it's a delightful setting with outdoor seating overlooked by beautiful old buildings. The food was amazing... we went for the €30 fixed menu... incredible dishes and such value for money! The place us so relaxed! We spent a very chilled 2+ hours over lunch without any sense of being hurried along by our equally chilled waiter

Found this lovely restaurant by google reviews and absolutely loved it. We’ve been travelling round France for three weeks and this was hands down the best meal. Staff were lovely. The set lunch c good value, beautifully presented and delicious. We had the prawns then the duck then the apple crumble and banoffi. Would highly recommend.
