Au Bistro Gourmand — Restaurant in Bonneville

One of the worst meals we had while doing the TMB. We arrived around noon. Overall, the place looked aesthetic, with a pleasant atmosphere.

We ordered pasta and two salads. A few minutes in, we were told that one of the salads we had ordered couldn’t be prepared.

Forty minutes (!!) later, the dishes finally arrived — they were okay, but in my opinion not worth the wait.

The worst part was that we accidentally ordered a non-vegetarian dish, and when we tried to figure out whether it was a mistake in the order or just our misunderstanding of the menu, the waiter/ manager acted impatiently and rudely.

In addition, the evening before, we asked the same guy if they sell ice cream, and he also brushed us off rudely.

All in all — an unsuccessful service experience, for food that was only average.

Also also the 12 euro for sharing is a joke....

I believe the manager behaved unprofessionally and became agitated with me because of a malfunctioning card machine. Despite my attempts to pay with three different cards, each with sufficient funds, the manager became increasingly frustrated and slammed the desk. He eventually informed me that I could only pay with cash.

I requested an appetizer and a main course. However, the appetizer and main course were served simultaneously, causing the pizza to become cold by the time I finished the appetizer. Additionally, the tiramisu was mediocre at best.

Everything felt so rushed, even though the establishment wasn't that full. It's a real shame for such a nice location.

And on top of that you have to pay 12 euros extra just to...

Best food we had in quite a while. Both the Raclette Burger and the Ocean Salad we had were simply out of this world.

When it comes to service, there definitely is a room for improvement. We waited 5 minutes to be seated, though the waitress wasn’t busy. It was 6:00 p.m. when we arrived, just as they start serving dinner, and for little while we were the only guests. Still it took the waitress 10 minutes to take our order and another 10 minutes to bring our drinks (beer and soda, nothing fancy that would need special preparation.

Probably not a good place if you are in a hurry or extremely hungry but if you have the time and patience, the food is worth it and prices are...
