Rond de Carotte — Restaurant in Bonneville

Am absolute gem in the centre of Saint Gervais les Bains.

Cosy restaurant with a very nice seasonal menu that never disappoint.

Became our regular Saturday luncheon spot, but equally as nice for diners. They’ve recently started as a “Caviste” as well, with very interesting wines and champagnes to discover.

The cuisine is french classic with a modern twist. Being a greedy muncher, I’ve tried every single item in the menu. It is sufficient to say that it’s literally impossible to pick a favorite, because they’ve all been so good. A perfect balance of taste and lightness.

The cuisine is refined yet simple and straight forward, which makes this place rather unique.

So if you are after good food, good wine and a relaxed ambiance, then I suggest you give it a go!

Based on TripAdvisor reviews and friend recommendations, we enjoyed our first meal with friends at Rond De Carrotte. It’s small, welcoming and the food is presented very well and tastes absolutely delicious. We would visit again, but maybe for an occasion or if we wanted to have something different and less Savoie. We all agreed that an atmosphere was the only thing that was missing. Some background music would have increased the enjoyment of eating here. It was very quiet, even with occupied tables around us. Apart from that, this is a little gem in St Gervais. Five stars for the food...

Myself and a friend went here to New Year's Eve dinner. I booked via phone (they were not taking online bookings for New Years Eve), and spoke to Marie, who was very friendly and helpful. On arrival, we saw a lovely, bright interior. We started with a kir cocktail. I had smoked trout to start and my friend truffle toast. Both were lovely. For mains, I had a venison dish, and my friend plaice, both matched with a glass of wine suggested by Marie. Followed by an excellent cheese plate. An excellent meal, and a great way to end 2022. Highly recommend Rond de Carotte if ever...
