Cajou Caffé — Restaurant in Bordeaux

We stopped here for lunch, by casuality. We took the daily menu and we chose meat. The meat was good and was silky, and included water or wine to your election, and the wine was good too. But the service was rude and unkind. The menu included supposedly the crème brûlée, and we was said in various ocations that we will be served the dish. Finally we got a ice cream with cream without any consultation with us, and we was said that the crème brûlée dessert was over, but we saw a client being served this dessert by the waiter. We finally paid the complete menu (because we was said that if we didn't pay the menu with dessert, they will charge us more because they will charge us the dishes for separate instead of the menu), but was very disappointing to be served a dessert we hadn't asked for without any consultation and have been lied by the waiter, and the sensation we kept and they left to us is that we were being cheated only because we...

This was the most disappointing experience. The terrace was beautiful and lively, the servers were friendly. But the food was just terrible. The beef tartar was not chopped, but instead it was ground in a meat grinder, still with ribbons of meat, as if from a ground (minced) meat package from a supermarket, and served unseasoned!! The ingredients were simply served on the side. I've had this dish all over France The confit de canard looked like it was deep fried in a fryer, and possibly not even heated up for the first time. It looked dry, stringy, terrible. This was the only time I ever sent food back without even tasting it. It seems the waiter knew this was a common problem as he graciously took it all back without so much as an argument. I did appreciate the service, though. We absolutely loved Cajou Caffé during our stay in Bordeaux! The food and service were both excellent every single time. We ended up eating here four times during our trip — it quickly became our go-to spot.

It’s super kid-friendly, especially if your little ones love chicken nuggets — our child was thrilled each visit. The waitstaff were prompt, friendly, and very attentive, making the whole dining experience smooth and welcoming.
