L'apollo bar — Restaurant in Bordeaux

L’Apollo is hands down one of the best spots in Bordeaux for drinks and atmosphere. The vibe strikes the perfect balance between lively and laid-back, making it just as good for an after-work apéro as it is for a late night out with friends.

The cocktails are well crafted, with a great mix of classics and creative twists, and the wine selection is solid too (as you’d expect in Bordeaux!). Staff are friendly, quick, and clearly enjoy what they do which really makes a difference.

The music and energy of the place are spot on, and the crowd is always easygoing. Whether you’re passing through town or a local looking for your go-to bar, Apollo never disappoints....

Not sure why this bar is so popular. Staff are rude and slow to serve; usually because they're having a bit of a chat with their super-cool mates. If you can stand the unbearable heat inside, the ambience is ok... I guess. For this reason the tables outside are generally all full. If you are lucky enough to get one then you too can inhale vast quantities of exhaust fumes. Want to go outside with your pint, but haven't got a table? Too bad. In...

I like the place a lot but one of the times we went there, one of the bartenders just ignored me for a good few minutes even though there was no one else trying to order. The rest of the times were fine though, so he might have been having an off day. There is a (paid) pool table and plenty of seating. Outside tables for sunny days. They have a pretty basic selection of beers but there is Paulaner on tap,...
