I came at 7:30 on a Friday & there was only one big table there besides me. It did fill up throughout the evening. All the dishes were a nice experience but if I'm being my critical chef self... The beet carpaccio was lovely w/ the bit of thyme. I loved the beet sorbet extra cold but maybe some raw beets for texture would have helped. The ceviche was a bit disappointing in that the sauce was very overwhelming in ginger. I used very little but I did use the remaining for the tempura corn. The fried corn could handle that strong flavor, but the mustard mayonnaise it comes with is very nice just fatty on fatty. The fried corn itself I loved; not greasy, a light fritter really. The artichoke ravioli were delicate & the broth was nice but I actually didn't enjoy the tomato oil/broth since there was an addition of some kind of chili I didn't care for. It was still executed very well & the cheese inside extremely light as well. The duck was cooked perfectly, maybe a little more fat could've been rendered but mostly wondering why only 3 red currants? I would've like more. The demi glace was flavorful & you definitely need it since the green beans are plain otherwise. All the wines I had were lovely as well. Server was busy but handled it gracefully. Group with an infant came in towards the end, nothing to be done about that other than whyyyyyy?! I know your life is miserable now but do you have to bother everyone else at a nice place?! Maybe that's europe or just this stubborn generation...

Le Loup (the wolf in French) delivered a spectacular dinner experience. Apparently the chef has worked all over world, like Italy, Japan and New Zealand, and those influences shine through in the food. Quite experimental, but not to the point where it becomes fussy. This is sophisticated and refined rusticity. A special shoutout for the sea bream ceviche, that was perfectly balanced and had a wonderful texture. The sole waiter served all the guests (full house) by himself but handled it elegantly.

This is small but very upscale place, everyone was impeccably dressed, the atmosphere was quiet yet a little too sober to my taste. The food was most delicious, each item on the menu was a surpriseful bliss to the mouth and a delight for eyes as well. The only downside to this type of gourmet eating is that the portions are very small so if you're expecting a big plate, this isn't the place for you. They have a nice selection of wines as well and we were delighted by the Pomerol

I was really excited about eating here and made a reservation for 1 which was confirmed via email by a third party app (how they handle many reservations, this was normal). When I arrived on time, the host told me I didn’t have a reservation so I showed him my email confirmation which he recognized as being correct (date/time etc) but then briskly again told me I had no reservation and insinuated it was my fault.

I get that mistakes can happen. What I do not tolerate is a host being rude or blaming me for the mistake and not even apologizing or trying to make a concession. A simple “I’m so sorry, would you be interested in another time we have available” or a “apologies, maybe try X or Y restaurant” would have been appreciated. It wasn’t busy, he was just rude, and frankly it wasn’t my mistake.

You have many options for great food in Bordeaux. I’d reconsider eating here if you...

The food tastes amazing, the drinks are also very good. We had appetizers, main course and dessert. All of those were very good. Additionally, we got served some bread and a small complementary appetizer.

The service was very nice and patient with us. We don't speak French but the waiter translated and helped with dishes we did not understand.

The prices are pretty expensive. Considering the quality this would be ok, if the dishes weren't so small and the bread would get refilled. Unfortunately, after a 100€ three course meal, we were both still hungry. We thought about getting a third main course to share but considering the cost, we just went to the city center to grab...
