FloridaBlanca — Restaurant in Carcassonne

If you come to Carcassonne, definitely don't eat a burger at FloridaBlanca!!!

My boyfriend and I went there with the intention of having a romantic dinner with the "Starter + main course + dessert" menu, but as soon as we arrived we were met with the message: "We don't have any more menu today". Okay, we decided to give it a try anyway. I went for the classic burger with fries, since I'm not a big fan of seafood, and it's a dish that you can hardly go wrong with. But it was, and it was probably one of the biggest I've ever tried. As soon as I received the dish, my eyes went straight to the fries, in disbelief: dark (old oil), soft and soaked in oil. The burger was definitely not tasty. But compared to the fries it was easier to swallow. The price: abusive. The quality: frustrating. The service and atmosphere: ok. I don't want to think that this is what France has to offer. But I definitely don't recommend...

Monday in France, when a lot of places are closed. First time in Carcassone and we came from some streets where nothing was open. My daughter, with 3 years old, needed to go to the toilet and they simply didn't allowed her to enter the toilet.

We're talking about a child, a 3 year old child, not an adult even, what at some point could be understood. The girl working there not even suggested an alternative. Like buying something.

Was me who had to suggest to buy a bottle of water ( which cost was 4 euros ???) to literally ask them if they would allowed her to enter.

Beautiful restaurant with lovely hosts. I think its a family run restaurant which makes it even more valuable to the community. The owners are very sweet and curteous. The food is delicious and portions just right at a good price too. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming and nice music too. Lots of locals eating there so you know it's the real deal😊.
