We had dinner at Le Longchamp and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. We ordered the onion soup and mussels along with some drinks. Both dishes arrived barely warm. The onion soup lacked flavour, and the mussels were particularly concerning: about half of them didn’t open, which is a clear sign they may not have been fresh. When we mentioned this to the waitress, she acknowledged that two other tables had also complained and offered to bring a new portion. While the second serving was hot, the same issue occurred—many mussels remained closed. Other guests around us reported the same experience, suggesting a broader problem that evening. We finished our drinks and asked for the bill, only to find we were charged a "reduced" price of €9 for the mussels instead of the original €15, which felt unreasonable given they were largely inedible. Based on this experience, I would not recommend...
Read moreWe ordered a 1/2 litre of Rose, which was fine, as well as the Fois Gras du Maison and shrimp salad. The fois gras was 1/2 fat and tasted mediocre at best The shrimp salad had no shrimp but nobody checked in with us to see if everything was OK. We were hungry so we ate what we had. Finally a young man came to clear our plates. He spoke English pretty well but when we told him there was no shrimp in the salad he told us that the menu had changed, “Sorry”. When our designated waitress came by to deliver the bill, it said shrimp salad, and we were charged accordingly. Told her there were no shrimp on the salad. She was quite surprised and, to her credit, took the salad off the bill. We are highly tolerant of mistakes, they happen. Getting told two stories was completely unacceptable. We ended up next-door where we had a lovely entrée...
Read moreDisappointed. Only 1 person available to take orders. Other staff not allowed too apparently. Considering it was an evening with entertainment, seemed ridiculous considering how busy it was in the square. Fortunately arrived early evening. Decided to have the menu du jour which was reasonably priced at 18euro. We all opted for the filet mignon &frites. When meal eventually served the filet mignon was porc and not beef as was expecting. No chips but ratatouille and pasta were served with it. We all sent it back stating we wanted the chips. Seems the chef was trying to pass off the ratatouille and pasta as no-one was ordering the tuna steak. When meals came back with chips the meat was cold. The entrée was good. Dessert ok, although the fig tart was served cold. Not...
