La Table du Marché — Restaurant in Chartres

Although the food was nice when it arrived (after a massive mistake of giving our food to the table next door) and then the 2 owners became like rabid (enrage) customer hating people. When we asked where our food was as we had been waiting for nearly 1h we got sent packing saying it was not that long. Then, It would be only 5 mins (20 mins later). And in the meantime, no apologies of course!! And they shout at their staff so rudely, in front of the customer too! Shameful!

When it came to pay for the bill and say what are you please going to do something for us? As in apologies or offer us a drink or money off, they became so rude it was unbelievable… I’m ashamed to see hospitality places like those treating customers (who they know are tourists and therefor will never be back) so badly Do not go if you want a relaxing welcome...

Staff was the absolute best. Fastest and kindest service I have experienced in my 3 months around Europe. Our server was happy and very helpful with translating the menu. It is a very nice space with a just as nice bar. The food was incredible and it was a fair portion for the price point. I had tried the veal liver, the "masion" burger, stuffed goat cheese pasta with a parmesan cream, the maiz, and the breaded chicken. The meat was cooked to perfection very juicy and hearty, the pasta was a cheese lover's paradise and the maiz made complimented the meat very well.

Point principal de cette expérience. L'ATTENTE Nous sommes arrivés à 19:30, mais il nous a été annoncée qu'il n'y avait aucune table pour 3 et que l'attente ne serait que d'un quart d'heure, mais nous avons attendu une heure avant que la table qui nous avait été "promise" soit prise devant notre né car le patron avait réservée la table pour ses personnes qui etait de sa famille. Nous avons donc été réclamé au prêt du serveur qui nous avait reçu avant pour qu'il nous trouve une table. Nous avons donc été installé en espérant que la suite de notre aventure à la Table du Marché se passe mieux qu'elle n'avait commencez, mais malheureusement non. Un jeune garçon très sympathique est venu nous demander se que nous désirons boire. Puis nous avons passer notre commande, 3 magret de canard, 1h30 d'attente cars manque de personnelle en cuisine. Le bilan de ce plat, moyen. Rien d'exceptionnel et manque d'assaisonnement, nous n'avons même pas osez prendre un désert par peur d'attendre trop longtemps, nous avons donc pris 1 café et payer l'addition au bar. En arrivant là bas, la dame a demander comment c'était dérouler notre expérience au saint de son établissement , nous avons répondu que nous avions attendu 1h30, sa réponse " et bah oui nous étions déborder" mais en que cela concerne la clientèle, la qualité d'un service ne devrait pas dépendre du nombre de clients présent.
