One of the first cafes we ever visited years ago when we started coming to Normandy for our holidays. It used to be a bustling little place with a whispy middle aged waitress zipping about between the tables and the kitchen. The food used to be lovely with quite an extensive choice on the menu. Now there is nothing unless you want a pre prepared baguette, which flies have walked over.
We visited on the 18th June 2024 and we were left feeling disappointed. There was no menu, no waitress (counter service only). All that was available now is alcoholic or soft drinks. Coffee is straight out of a machine, which was terribly bitter. The lady behind the bar wasn't welcoming at all and had a face like a wet weekend, presumably she's the owner as we've seen her a few times on our previous visits.
Avoid being disappointed and give this place a miss. It could be turned into a very happy and inviting place, but unfortunately it seems to be on the edge of closure.

So I get why there were no visitors enjoying the potentially delicious meals, sitting inside or outside enjoying the scenes of this heroically,...
Read moreExcellent Pizzas. I have used this family run restaurant for years. As a Battlefield Guide, I visit Normandy about 15 times a year. I take large British groups into this restaurant, although the menu is not extensive, if you like pizza, in my opinion you will not find better. The staff are always extremely welcoming and even in the high season, you will be served fairly quickly and...
