Sainte-Mère-Église is busy during the day but much if it closes in the evenings leaving the unprepared diner with very few options for a low key family meal.

Restaurant was busy when we arrived, we were seated upstairs where there is a mild but noticeable smell of damp.

When looking at the menu we noticed they do not accept card payment so had to dash to car to get card and then go to atm next door.

We had some sparkling water and 4 pizzas(€70), it was poor. Expectations were not high, but they just were not good, even after a busy day visiting the sites of the area even the biggest appetite didn't clear their plates.

I was "forced" to go there because on a Saterday evening none of the restaurants and auberges in the neighborhood have reasonable openingtimes and mostly are closed at 20.00 hrs 🙈 This restaurant was open till 22.00 hrs so we went there from our Hotel in Valognes approx. 13 km from San Mere Eglise. Je vous déconseille fortement de venir vous restaurer chez ce restaurateur car vous ne vous y mangerez très mal , la nourriture et infâme à moins que vous vouliez manger de l'industriel car rien n'est fait maison mais tout est industriel , mise a part la soit disant pâte a pizza de Mme qui n'en n'ai rien d'une pâte a pizza , des cour de cuisine je pense sont primordiales de plus les prix sont exorbitants c'est une honte et rien ne le justifie....passer votre chemin car en plus ils sont mal aimable et vous mangerez dans une ambiance malaisante en plus on ne peux payer qu'en chèque ou espèces , d'ailleurs c'est la première chose qu'il vous dise en rentrant cela n'est pas très claire quand même.... Pour les bons avis que ce restaurant a , je pense qu'ils sont monté de toutes pièces par des connaissances a eux ,ce n'est pas possible autrement... De plus les pâtisseries ont l'air bonne mais 9 EUR la pâtisserie c'est du vol sous prétexte que la jeune fille a était diplômé ( certainement d'un cap ou BEP , rien de mirobolant) on n'est loin du grand chef pâtissier qui lui oui pourrais les vendre a ce prix . Quand on n'a le malheur de leur dire que ce n'est pas bon , car oui c'est infâme ( je fait beaucoup mieux a la maison ) on n'est a deux doigts de faire casser la figure avec les hurlements qui vont avec ,le restaurant c'est transformé en jungle 🙄 Allez plutôt manger dans les petites crêperie a côté ou ce sera de la vrai cuisine et vous n'en aurez pas pour votre argent.
