NHU Y Vietnamienne Cuisine — Restaurant in Clermont-Ferrand

One of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. Currently in the restaurant and have been waiting for 1.75 hours. We have only just received our starters, they are not what we ordered. When we asked for another beer, they gave them to us without bottle openers. We never received the vegetable buns we ordered.

Main meals have started to arrive 2 hours after we arrived and some of us will be finished before the others have received their food. Food was served to random people at the table without telling us what it was.

We have now been waiting for 2h 20min and they have brought a free bun because there was a mix up with one of our orders. Many smaller groups have come and gone while we've been here, it seems they have prioritised smaller tables (we are a group of 8).

We finally received all our main meals after a lot of excuses. The food was actually pretty good. It took them 30 mins to bring all main courses. They are refusing to give us a discount on the food and are threatening to call the police.

We were looking for an asian restaurant with vegan and non-vegan food. The menu had a lot of vegetarian choices, but the staff explained that all vegatarian food also was vegan. They clearly understood what vegan food was. The free entry soup was automaticly not given to our vegan participant, what gave us a good inpression of how they understood our whishes! Very good indeed. All we ordered was made with fresh ingredient and took some time to prepare. We thinkt this is an aspect that is needed for quality. Everything tasted as I remembered it from my visits to Vietnam. And, very important, it was not salty at all! Very good quality food. Portions are large enough, eating a starter and a dish will easely fill you. Staff took all the time to explain everything, and was flexible in what to deliver, changed numbers of the items etc. Food was not very spicy, but they added some spices for your own adjustments later. The complimentary soup with mushrooms, zucchini and egg was my favorite, because it was the only dish that wasn’t overly sweet. I’ve had amazing Vietnamese food in Paris and other parts of Europe as well as in the U.S., as an Asian American, I find the meat dishes too sweet for my taste. I think the soup is perfect as it is not sweet. The waitresses are super friendly and the outdoor tables are very nice because the restaurant is on a nice pedestrian street and seems to be really busy (many people make reservations).
